Exotic Cemented Carbide Alloy — Custom Grade Manufacturer
Ruixin exotic carbide alloys are specialized cemented tungsten carbide grades engineered for extreme wear, impact, and thermal conditions that fall outside the performance range of standard WC-Co grades. Custom binder systems (Co, Ni, NiCr), grain size configurations, and additive compositions are available for unique application requirements. Manufactured at our 14,200m² ISO-certified facility in Jinan, Shandong.
Custom Configuration Options

Typical Applications
- Corrosion-resistant wear parts — NiCr binder for acidic/chemical environments
- High-temperature tooling — thermal-stable binder systems above 900°C
- Ultra-precision cutting tools — submicron grain for edge sharpness
- Anti-magnetic wear parts — non-magnetic binder formulations
- Oil & gas components — high-pressure, high-temperature seal and valve parts

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an exotic carbide alloy different from standard WC-Co grades?
Standard carbide grades use tungsten carbide (WC) with a cobalt (Co) binder at fixed compositions. Exotic alloys replace or supplement cobalt with alternative binders such as nickel (Ni), nickel-chromium (NiCr), or add carbide phases like TiC or TaC to achieve properties standard grades cannot deliver — including corrosion resistance in acidic environments, non-magnetic properties, higher thermal stability above 700°C, or submicron grain structure for ultra-sharp cutting edges.
Can you develop a custom carbide grade for a specific application failure?
Yes. Send us your failure description (fracture, abrasion, corrosion, thermal degradation), current grade specification, and operating conditions. Our metallurgists will propose a reformulated grade targeting the specific failure mode. We can prototype and test small batches before committing to production volumes. NDA available if required.
What is the minimum order and lead time for exotic carbide grades?
Prototype and R&D batches start from 1–5kg. Production quantities are typically 10kg and above. Lead time for first-time formulation development is 3–6 weeks including testing. Repeat production of an established grade ships within 2–3 weeks.
